British scientists have found that it is enough for an asthmatic to work out for at least half an hour a day for his condition to improve. Of course, this is about regular exercise: 30 minutes of daily exercise for a year can help adults with asthma better cope with the symptoms of the disease. People who exercise regularly have been found to be almost 2.5 times more likely to control their asthma symptoms. It doesn’t have to be a big load, you can enjoy a half-hour walk, bike ride or yoga class.

Commentary: Some doctors and parents of asthmatic children, on the contrary, believe that their children are absolutely contraindicated for exercise. And in schools with such children, physical education teachers refuse to study. Therefore, the task is, first of all, in educational activities. We need to explain to people that asthma and sports, asthma and physical education are always compatible! And Norwegian skiers who won a lot of awards at the Olympics can serve as an example. By the way, almost all anti-asthma drugs are excellent doping. Here’s to you and backlog for the champions!

Asthma and dirty air

Air pollution is an increased risk of asthma

The level of air pollution in the Polish city of Krakow, according to representatives of a local environmental organization, is one of the highest in the world. Residents are actively drawing attention to the problem, compiling petitions and forming new communities dedicated to this situation. After all, this significantly increases the risk of asthma.
Smog, which causes dissatisfaction among citizens and tourists, is usually formed by particulate matter with a small diameter. The smallest of them, no larger than 2.5 microns, can contain toxic organic compounds and heavy metals that can lead to asthma, birth defects, lung cancer and other health problems. The World Health Organization has included Krakow in the top four cities in the ranking of suspended particulate matter with a diameter of less than 2.5 microns in the air. it is these particles that create an increased risk of asthma in the old Polish city.

Commentary: Articles about ecology are now widely distributed. And they all agree on one thing. The air of big cities is becoming more and more unsuitable for life and extremely dangerous for people’s health.
